FIREWORKS SPRING ACTIVITIES

Finally, the weather is starting to warm, and flowers are beginning to bloom. with that being said, I want to share with you the FireWorks guide for the most exciting places to experience spring activities in Marietta. Like a butterfly, the city transforms from a somber town into a vibrant community as soon as the weather starts warming up. In other words, Springtime in Marietta is like no other, of course are less than a mile from the famous Marietta Square (where all the happenings go on). But did you know there is more to our community than meets the eye? For example, We’ve got mountains, markets, and so much more to share with you. With that being said, when the weather starts to heat up, so do the Mariettans. This is probably why most of our favorite things to do in the springtime involve the great outdoors. Here are our top three spots that you MUST experience while the weather is warming up!

THE FARMERS MARKET

Speaking of sunshine, the Marietta Square Farmers Market comes around every Saturday morning (rain or shine). The highest voted Farmers Market in the Atlanta area promises this experience will be nothing like any other market event. This weekly extravaganza goes beyond local businesses trying to sell their goods. It has become a part of who we are and how we identify as a community. I know it sounds like I’m being overzealous. However, after you experience the magic of the market, it quickly becomes clear why these merchants return time and time again. It’s surreal watching everyone buzz with life and excitement, the seemingly never ending sea of colorful tents from our local vendors is just… ahhh.

KENNESAW MOUNTAIN

We like to participate in wellness walks with our members when the weather permits. And we’ve found there are few better places to do that than at the historic Kennesaw Mountain. Now if you’re not from Marietta, don’t let the name fool you. It’s located just a five minute drive from our office. And is the perfect place to step away from the Spark Desk, or out of your Micro Office for a bit of well-deserved sunshine! With a trail for every level of experienced hiker, you have the option of a smooth stroll or a more strenuous workout. Rest assured whatever path you chose, it comes with a breathtaking view.

GLOVER PARK BREWERY

After your hike, and shopping spree, it is almost a necessity to grab a quick, and local bite and pint from Glover Park Brewery .They’re Located off Atlanta St. just brief walk from all the festivities surrounding the square. Co-founders Sam, Hank, and Kevin are constantly keeping things fresh with a rotating montage of food trucks on site daily. And this means you will always be able to find something to satisfy those post hike cravings. One of the things we love most about Glover Park is how pup friendly they are. Their beer garden is the perfect place to chill out and soak up a stout. They even go the extra mile as the bartenders will graciously make sure that your little tail waggers stay perfectly hydrated as well. All you have to do is ask for a bowl! If there is one thing to be sure of, where you find a local Mariettan, their furry friends are almost always following closely behind. And with that being said, Glover Park understood the assignment so they earned a gold star from us!
